Bought from the Sotheby's sale of John Entwistle's massive guitar and bass collection (for those unable to be there, here is a well written account of the day)

This bass has a full page picture in the book of John's collection, Bass Culture, and notes (by JE himself) - "Custom made for me by Peter Cook. I used this as a guitar substitute on many of my song demos. I always called it the Peter Cook 'jigsaw puzzle' "
